NOTE: FOR ALL TECH REHEARSALS, PERFORMERS, ONLY, PLEASE: Exception! Parents are not allowed at Tech and Dress Rehearsals: However, for Tech Rehearsals ONE* Party Child and BonBon parent may attend from each family: Please sit in Orchestra, about halfway back, on the aisle. AT TECH REHEARSAL #1, Party Children will be excused at about 9:15. BonBons will rehearse at 8:00, and be excused after their rehearsal) (*) No Exceptions, please
Tuesday, Dec. 6 TECHNICAL REHEARSAL I
6:00p.m. to 8:00 pm: SNOWFLAKES and ACT II
8:15 to 9:15: Party Scene
9:15 to 10:15: BATTLE
ALL PERFORMERS: Come into theatre THROUGH DOUBLE DOORS BACKSTAGE and sit in front rows of audience for BOTH Technical Rehearsals! Do not go Backstage!
Wednesday, Dec. 7 TECHNICAL REHEARSAL II
(PERFORMERS, ONLY, PLEASE–See Exception, above)
6:00p.m. to 8:00 pm: Act I
8:00 to 10:00 pm: Act II
ALL PERFORMERS MUST STAY until this Tech Rehearsal is over. We will be practicing bows at the end of the rehearsal.
Thursday, Dec. 8: DRESS REHEARSAL (FULL Makeup, Hair And COSTUME)
4:30 pm. CCB SIGN IN
5:00 pm. COMPANY CLASS ON STAGE for CCB OLDER DANCERS ONLY
6:00 pm. NON-CCB DANCERS, EXTRAS AND CHARACTER PEOPLE SIGN IN!!
THEN GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR ASSIGNED DRESSING ROOM. [DO NOT BE LATE, PLEASE!!]

PARENT-HELPER INSTRUCTIONS
(REMINDER TO ALL PARENTS WHO ARE HELPING BACKSTAGE DURING THE PRODUCTION:)
1. Please arrive at least ONE HOUR before the performance.
2. Please make sure to circle your name on the posted signup sheet as soon as you arrive at the theater so we know you are available for duty.
3. DRESSING ROOM parents, (NO FOOD IN THE DRESSING ROOMS… Please stay UPSTAIRS throughout the show and until the last performer in your care has hung up his or her costume and checked out.
*(PLEASE ENFORCE THE NO FOOD RULE! Absolutely no eating in costume!
(Water Bottles are good. )
SHOE RULE: Please make sure dancers have slippers or sandals over ballet shoes when entering and exiting the Theatre.
4. Performers exiting stage must return to backstage dressing rooms. They may NOT watch the show from the wings. PLEASE enforce QUIET backstage. NO TALKING when they are waiting backstage to perform.

Reminders
Nutcracker Parents -
I wanted to thank everyone for volunteering for the Dressing Rooms this year. Without you we couldn’t put together this wonderful production. I still have a couple of slots to fill (see below).
If you are not sure what the responsibilities are: they include preparing the children for the show (dress in costumes, makeup, and sometimes hair), when they are done with their part they will hang out in the dressing rooms (playing games, coloring, texting, or talking with their friends). Then the kids need to be redressed for Curtain Call.

Everyone should have all of their makeup by next weekend (11/12-13).
Note to girls: bring your hair pieces after Thanksgiving
Note to boys: You will need a white dress shirt (with collar and long sleeves). And no more hair cuts!
If your daughter needs a hair addition for the Party Scene, please show it to me after you have purchased it at Kim’s. I want to make sure you have been sold the rights ones.
Barbara Giometti is kindly dying mouse leos and tights. Please bring these items to the studio by 11/12 – Saturday so that she will have time to dye them.
We need 4 volunteers to help with CSD on Sat. Nov. 12. There are four 2-1/2 hr shifts to choose from – from 10 am to 8 pm. If you would like to participate, please contact Toni Mikus: m.mikus AT comcast.net
If you signed up for a Nutcracker sweatshirt, please bring $28 to rehearsal. Also, it is not too late to order one if you want one.
Tech Week: Starting Tuesday, December 6, rehearsals will be at the Saroyan Theatre, All cast members must attend.
Tuesday and Wednesday Tech Week rehearsals will start at 6 pm and each act will rehearse about 2 hours. Thursday night is full Dress Rehearsal complete with guest dancers. We have the school show Friday morning. There is no show Friday night (time to rest!).
SEE’s Candy Fundraiser
–We are grateful to Ann Casado for volunteering once again to head the See’s candy fundraiser. Candy sales work so well with the holidays. The See’s order forms will be distributed Sat Oct 15 and Sun Oct 16 to all performers at In the Spotlight.
The deadline for order forms is Sunday, November 28 (weekend before Thanksgiving). Put the forms in a plastic box labeled, “Nutcracker – Sees Candy Orders” on the studio entrance. Candy will be distributed at rehearsals Dec 3 & 4.
TICKET SELLING FUNDRAISER
The procedure for ticket selling for parents and dancers:
The Nutcracker flyer has a coupon on the back. Please have the ticket buyer fill this out and give it to you with a check or charge number. Give this form to me, and I will give you the tickets (most of the time) at the next rehearsal. There will also be additional order forms at In the Spotlight Dance
